reconnection after wifi drop out
« on: October 16, 2017, 08:52:48 am »
Hi
Like most of you I have to reboot my wifi router occasionally.  When I do that my dot will automatically reconnect and start working as normal, however, my echo will not and I have to go through the normal setup process from scratch.  Why is echo not automatically reconnecting when the dot is?
Thanks for any help.

You should not have to do this, of course.  Today I had to reboot my router after returning from a trip.  After rebooting, some of the Alexa devices were not working and showing a red light circle. So, in this case, I rebooted the devices by unplugging them  and waiting a few seconds to re-plug in.  All work fine again.

Sorry for the slow response to your reply but I have been away. My problem is with he Echo itself. I have just returned myself from a trip and Alexa is sitting their with the light flashing and telling me she is not connected. This is after a reboot of my BT router by the kids.
Is there any way for me to resolve this???  I’ll try unplugging the echo and see if tat helps.
Thanks for any help.
