Given the Tap is not available here can the Echo be used with a power pack so it can be used in the garden without a mans lead?

The standard Echo requires 15v input. 5v is the norm for the portable battery packs.

You can find dedicated rechargeable battery bases for the Echo on Amazon. They'll run you $50.00 to $60.00.

Remember too, the Echo doesn't have a USB input for its power.
