This sounds interesting. https://www.cnet.com/news/amazon-alexa-comes-to-huawei-mate-9-phone/
I use android Blackberry Keyone with an Alexa app, but it is probably not great if you don't have good use of your hands due to the small physical keyboard.  I think probably any large Samsung would work well.

I just saw a little article somewhere the other day, that said HTC has the only Smart phone made that doesn't require you to actually touch the phone to use Alexa... I'd be willing to go that route if I were in the market for an Android device for sure... I'm pretty sure it was a large phone as well. Model Number HTC U11 Linked in the monsterous underlined hyperlink below...

I would like to use any tablet as a show.

I would like to use any tablet as a show.

Google assistant on my phone works like an echo show. LOL. Been playing with it just now. And was surprised that it can do what any echo can do now. I still love my echo though since I mainly bought it as BT speaker and is being used as such most times.

As for the OP question. Any Android that runs on marshmallow onwards can do calling and messaging as far as I know.
