I think Whole Foods is over priced. So do a majority of shoppers.

Look for higher Prime membership pricing to offset the buyout. LOL!

Amazon did not just buy Whole Foods grocery stores. It bought 431 upper-income, prime-location distribution nodes for everything it does.

Yep, been calling it that for years.  It makes sense that Amazon buys it since they have a grocery delivery service; see their trucks often.  It makes sense for Amazon to buy anything since they have enough money to do it!  They are a very, very rich company today.

should have bought krogers, not whole foods.  whole foods is way too expensive though it may be cheaper than the foods amazon already sells.

They bought Whole Paycheck because they want to appear "upscale" and totally organic, w/no GMO and gluten free to appeal to the food snobs of the younger generation.  They are looking to the future, and the future is them.  Just my take on this.  I really don't care why they bought WF since we rarely shop there except for certain items.  The worst steak we ever bought was from there. They definitely will not rule the grocery business.  Too many players.

Wife said she saw news story that Amazon will lower Whole Foods prices once they take over. Time will tell.
