Talk to People at Home
« on: June 10, 2017, 05:06:31 pm »
I've found a phone app called "Ubi" to remote control Alexa, but that's just talking TO ALEXA thru your phone. Most commands just return on your phone. Somethings like "turn on the lights" work fine.

I'd like to be able to remotely talk TO PEOPLE in the room thru my phone, using the speaker in Alexa.

Any thoughts? I haven't found the Skill yet.

Someone else had a similar idea or took it a step further:
Anyone tried to set up an Echo as a speakerphone? With the great mics seems it would be a natural.

No one responded to that idea.

Maybe if/when Alexa has intercom capabilities it will be possible to do what you want.
