Make Alexa say my phone's name
« on: May 12, 2017, 04:37:51 pm »
When Alexa connects to my phone she says, "Now connected to ...." and then says my entire MAC address. I have a name saved in my Bluetooth settings but she doesn't say that. Is there a way to change this?

Thanks

Can't help on that I'm afraid.

When I tried a Kindle book on one of Kindle's early appearance on Alexa, before it disappeared again, it read out the entire frontispiece with all the ISBNs and LOC numbers, the entire copyright, publication and reprint history - and nothing else.

Are you SURE you gave the phone a name?  Check your phone settings and see that it is stilli in there.  It will not be found in the Bluetooth settings, it is in the actual phone's settings. If it's an iPhone, it is in Settings/General/About
