Wi-Fi connectivity and hotspots
« on: April 28, 2017, 12:52:03 pm »
Hi

When I originally set my echo up I used the house Wi-Fi. However, as I got the device to use in the car I then updated the wifi to use the personal hotspot on my iPhone.

I've been having problems with the dot not reconnecting to the phone when I get back into the car - the dot boots up but can't connect to the phone despite the hotspot still being switched on.

So I brought it back into the house again, booted it up and it connected to the house wifi and not my phone so it's obviously stored the house connection somewhere. I went through the update wifi again and it connected but after I switched the echo off and rebooted it to test it would reconnect to the phone or connected to the house wifi again.

How can I make it forget the house wifi? I wonder if that's what it was trying to connect to in the car earlier when it wouldn't connect to the phone, even though it had last connected to the phone?

Any ideas? I don't want to have to go through set up everytime I get in the car...

Thanks, B

Hey Bigus,

If you go to your Amazon Account, the wifi passwords are stored there.

How to delete my Wi-Fi passwords from Amazon?

To delete Wi-Fi passwords saved to Amazon using your web browser:
Go to Manage Your Content and Devices
Click the Settings tab.
Under Saved Wi-Fi Passwords, click Delete.
