Tap Won't Give Battery Level with Volume Buttons
« on: February 14, 2017, 04:28:47 pm »
Well, this is kind of trivial and dumb, but it bothers me a bit. I see that Tap is supposed to give battery level when + and - Volume are pressed at the same time. Mine doesn't. Anyone else have this issue? I have tried in both hands free mode and tap mode. It's so simple, I don't know what else to do. Defective unit maybe? Thank you for any insight!

Trivial may be an apt description.  The only way I know of how to check the battery is to hold in Mic button and say,"battery level".  Never heard of your claim, and who cares, since one button is preferred to two anyway.

Wow. That was kind of mean response, but thank you anyway.

No, not mean, I just agreed with your comment that it is trivial.  Did you get the battery level inquiry to work?  If Tap is set to be hands-free all one needs to do now is say, "Alexa, battery level".  No buttons are required.
