Selecting audio input from Bluetooth device
« on: December 25, 2016, 04:36:50 pm »
We have a Audio Technica Bluetooth Record Player... http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/turntables/d41892c53111caf9/index.html that we connect to Echo Dot.  We then have Echo Dot 3.5 audio jack out to a Bose Soundlink speaker.  But we cannot seem to tell the Echo to play the audio coming from the Bluetooth input?  Should be simply, but every request goes to some other spotify item etc...

Any ideas?

If the record player can pair with the Echo Dot as a Bluetooth speaker (the specifications indicate that this should be the case) then you should be able to say "Alexa, connect" to connect to the record player if it is already paired. If it is not already paired then saying "Alexa, pair" should put the Echo Dot into pairing mode to allow you to pair the record player with the Echo Dot.
