LightwaveRF Wifi Link Discounted at Maplin

I've got 6 bulbs in 2 fittings in my living room, and had been trying to decide whether to replace the light fittings and buy 2 Hue/Lifx/Hive bulbs, or to buy a "smart dimmer".

Just seen that the LightwaveRF Wifi link is heavily discounted at Maplin at the moment - down from £90 to £64 - and as the relevant Skill has just been launched, this plus a dimmer is my most economical option, and involves the least swearing as it's only 2 wires to connect as opposed to, from memory, about 97 in one of the ceiling roses!

Yes I have loads of LWRF gear and I get it on eBay. Works well with my new Echo too. They've still to hook up dimmers to Alexa though.

My newly aquired lwrf dimmer works fine with the echo - "Alexa, dim lounge dimmer to 20 percent"

It can be a bit slow though, so probably going to bugger about with a mixture of the fauxmo program and a lightwaverf control progam to execute it all locally.
