FYI
Bad news of this weekend.
Take care of this issue ASAP, whether you have a new or old Windows PC. It's all in this (and many other articles).

This morning, researchers announced they had found a kill switch in the code of the ransomware program — a single domain which, when registered, would prevent any infections from taking place. It’s still unclear whether registering that domain will stop every strain of the infection, but it should severely limit the global spread of the attack.

Yea, my win 7 and 10 previously patched as I have recent win updates. Articles say the kill switch may be temporary, since all that needs to be done is set up another domain. (It's likely done already!)
When I get a "round tuit" I will turn on my old XP and patch it.
