Can't import my Google contacts again
« on: January 13, 2019, 02:41:46 pm »
Got an Echo Plus for Christmas and managed to set it up the first time without a smart phone (I don't have one).
I had installed the Alexa app on my Nvidia Shield TV set-top box.
I had installed the Alexa app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick.
I had run the Alexa web app from my computer's web browser ( https://alexa.amazon.com/spa/index.html#cards ).
At this point, I somehow had all my Google contacts in my Alexa account.
Then at my sister's house, I used the Alexa app on her phone to log into my account (we were granting each other mutual Drop In privileges), not realizing that it would add all her phone's contacts to my account.
So back home I disabled my Import Contacts setting in the Manage Contacts section of the Alexa app on my Nvidea Shield TV set-top box to clear all my contacts out, but re-enabling that setting didn't bring my Google contacts back again as I expected. Neither did doing so in the Alexa app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick, nor on the Alexa web app from my computer's web browser.

Somehow my Google contacts made it into my Alexa account the first time I did my set-up; how can I do it again?
