Hi All
New to Alexa and still finding my feet.
Have set up a couple of devices using skills and they both work ok using the mobile app.
However if I ask alexa a question ie what time is it then all I get is silence even the echo dot stays silent from a mobile request.
Any help would be much appreciated.

My phone is a Huawei Ascend running Android 5.1.1

What do you mean exactly, by mobile request? You push on the middle button until you see the blue bar and ask alexa "Alexa, what time is it?", but get no response from your phone? Have you turned on the volume..?
