Ring 2 + HD8 w/Show dock, will it notify of motion/press?

I’m looking at diving in to the “Alexaverse” mostly for hone automation. To that end, I am considering (2) HD8s with show Dock  instead of a single Show 2.(Upstairs/Downstairs)

They have me perplexed at the description of not having “Incoming notifications”.... does that mean the Ring 2 won’t trigger an alert on an HD8 in show mode when someone rings or motion is detected?

That would be a deal breaker.

The next questions is how good is Amazon for returning tablets if I can’t get the stinking thing to alert?

BTW.... hello world! First post. I did try searching but I think as yet I lack the vocabulary to find the right posts.

I have a ring original version and a hd 10, but the notifications on that tablet are always much later (tens of seconds up to minutes!) than notifications on show/dot/spot. This makes the tablet useless for doorbell notifications IMO as deliverymen etc are long gone already.
