Echo 2nd generation

I have had my echo 2nd generation for about 3 weeks. It worked fine for the first week. Now it won't respond to voice commands unless I press the "action button" on top several times a day. My son has the Echo Plus and he only tells Alexa to wake up and thats it. I'm ready to send it back. Help please. Anything you can suggest to help me troubleshoot this problem will be appreciated. I would follow the instructions to do a factory reset and start all over again. Make sure your Echo is in a spot where you get good Wifi signal.

Normally they should be pretty stable.

Thanks I will try that. I have rebooted, checked connections and changed locations. I'm seeing a few on here with the same problem with this unit.

You could also try rebooting your router.
