Stuck with Multiroom Music
« on: January 04, 2018, 10:17:28 am »
I have 4 echo-devices, which are arranged in a group called "everywhere".

Today I was playing some music everywhere - and now my Alexa is stuck with this.

No matter what music request I send, she plays it "everywhere".

I told her to stop, rebootet all Alexa devices - still same issue.

Only saying "Play XY in the living room" works for single-playback. Everything else is send to multiroom music.

Any Idea? (Maybe some default setting I changed by accident?)

Deleting the Multiroom-Music Group and recreating it solved it.

Update:

just had a chat with the Amazon support, since it happened over and over again.

It's not a bug - it's a feature:

When demanding for "Multiroom Music", Alexa will remember this for 15 Minutes.
In this time, any command will be considered "Multiroom Music Playback".

To actually "stop" this earlier, you have to say "Alexa, STOP playing on [MultiRoom Music Group]" (A simple "Alexa Stop!", will stop the playback on every device as well, but "stay" with MultiRoom Mode for another 15 Minutes)
