Amazon Echo Dot does not send HDMI CEC signal to change TV input

I have a Fire TV Stick installed on a Sharp Aquos 46" TV with CEC enabled. I also have an Amazon Echo Dot. It is connected to the same wifi.  Pressing HOME on Fire TV remote signals CEC to switch to the Fire Stick HDMI. If you tell Alexa to "watch Fire TV" while connected to another HDMI input, Alexa simply says 'OK' but nothing happens. Shouldn't Echo Dot and the the Fire TV Stick remote HOME do the same thing? Switch to the Fire Stick HDMI input? Also, is there a way to tell Echo Dot to switch back to the original HDMI input?

I would assume it should switch the input automatically since it already works by using the remote.
I think that's something Amazon tech support would be better suited to find out why it isn't working by voice.

I talked to them this am. They don't know. It is being put in as an improvement request.

Issue. Can’t believe this isn’t supported
